  3. Adam says:

I was able to get this loaded and play around with it, but it crashes when I try to go into the Security options of the settings. It looks like other people are experiencing it too… any thoughts?

    Thanks

“Pretty much everything is working with this ROM but camera is currently broke.”
I should’ve read the article and maybe I wouldn’t be wondering why it won’t flash to my phone, but after reading this…no wonder.

  5. youssef says:

I don’t know how to root it. I didn’t flash gapps and now I have no custom recovery, nor root, and my computer won’t detect is ADB device. Any help?

  6. Preston says:

Has ANYONE gotten past or figured out the “no file contexts” error when trying to flash this ROM?

  7. Preston says:

Ok. Since Max or anyone else won’t help with this fix…this is what I’ve found. Make sure that your clockwork mod recovery is the newest version of 6.0.4.3. After your recovery has been updated you should be able to flash this ROM, however, I was getting a few different options that I’ve never seen before. For example, since applying the clockwork mod recovery update it was giving me a message that it would be undone after reboot, so I exited back and then got a message saying root device. At this point, I figured that something wasn’t reading that my device was already rooted so I optioned to “root device.” It flashed the new ROM and I’m not having any issues thus far.

  8. Preston says:

So, I tried to do as the instructions tell me after flashing the ROM,”install ROM, install Gapps, install SuperSU, and reboot and now I have no recovery mode and my tablet is stuck on the screen with the Android with a red triangle! ANY help would be nice. thanks

  9. Preston says:

Ok, so if this happens to you….just hold the power button to get back out and reboot, but your still left with the same problem, no recovery. you need to go update the files in the Nexus 7 Root Tool Kit,check custom recovery box under the root tab and re-root. After this is done, you will go through TWRP setup instructions and as long as you follow the instructions, you will successfully re-install an updated recovery. I then was able to update superuser and install Gapps 4.4. Everything is all good now.

  10. Craig says:

I was able to install the ROM. I had to install the latest version of CWM. I kept getting errors in TWRP. But once I had the latest CWM installed, I was able to install ROM, Gapps and SuperSU as per normal. Everything runs ok, but for some reason if I’m in an app and I press the home button, it goes back to the homescreen and the keyboard will pop up. Not a deal breaker though.

    I hope this helps.

    • Craig says:

After using this ROM for a little while, I’ve discovered it needs a bit more work. The keyboard popping up all the time eventually gets annoying. It runs a bit choppy from time to time and the screen doesn’t auto rotate. I have it selected, but still won’t rotate. That for me is a deal breaker for watching YouTube or browsing the internet. Good start for the ROM, but needs more TLC.

  11. Joe Vaillancourt says:

Tried to install flo onto grouper and failed in TWRP downloaded grouper and fails saying installed is newer. Does SU update kernel to a newer version prohibiting install?
